· What we do:
Raffinate Technologies was established as an engineering and design company primarily targeting the oil and gas industry. We are looking for an application engineer or process engineer with a minim bachelor's degree from an accredited school or with 1-2 years of experience in Application/Process Engineering field.
What you’ll do:
· Able to understand scope of work, contractual requirements of the project, and be able to help lead engineer in process technology evaluations and development.
· Process simulations, calculations, equipment sizing, equipment specifications, equipment cost estimation, systems design, detail engineering, proposal development, and project support.
· Ensure company’s and client’s design specification and standards are adhered to in the projects.
· Collaborate with vendors to get pricing on sized equipment. Technical evaluation of vendor bids.
· Help develop capital cost estimates.
· Stay current with industry changes in engineering best practices, techniques, and tools
· Site walkdowns as necessary for proposal and project execution. Travel expected is 10%.
· Will need to get EIT and PE as the career develops.
· Other tasks as required
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical or natural gas) from an accredited school.
· 0-2 yrs. engineering experience
· Basic knowledge in reading and understanding engineering drawings.
· Proficient level experience in Microsoft products ... Word and Excel.
· Basic programming and database understanding is required.
· This position must communicate effectively and respectfully with clients, vendors, contractors, and colleagues at all levels of responsibility.
· Professional demeanor is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in engineering (chemical, natural gas, petroleum, mechanical)
· Experience in simulation software is preferred - AspenTech Hysys or BR&E Promax or Honeywell UniSim.
· Experience in numeric computing systems like Mathcad or Matlab or equal is preferred.
· Experience in AutoCAD 2D or Microsoft Visio is preferred.
· Advanced programming and database understansing is preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to form effective business relationships with third party equipment vendors and Oil and Gas clients
