Seeking a junior level Applications Technician to work alongside a high functioning and fast paced team of professionals while providing support to a test environment that requires integration of multiple platforms, tactical networks, and applications across the enterprise. about the opportunity.
What You'll Get to Do:

  • Responsible for applying technical knowledge and practical concepts, processes, and methods related to technical systems and components. Provides guidance, assists with technical direction, analysis and support for the design, development, integration, testing, documentation , implementation, and sustainment of any of a variety of hardware, software, and integrated product solutions. Interfaces with vendor support service groups to maintain knowledge and resolve technical problems.
  • Work on both Microsoft and Linux OS
  • Using VMWare, deploy, configure, and operation Enterprise Applications, such as Domain Controllers, Chat Servers, and SQL Databases and Data Distribution Service and Command Control Integration
  • Provide technical knowledge and engineering support to deploy, configure, and operate Mission Command Applications, such as Joint Battle Command Platform, Command Post Computing Environment, Advance Field Artillery Tactical Data System, and Theater Air Integration System
  • Assist with preparing, reviewing, and gaining concurrence on test plans containing such information as type of test to be conducted, facilities required, proposed schedule, and estimated cost of project
  • Provide relevant input to test-specific documents produced by other agencies such as System Evaluation Plans (SEP), Test Reports, Operational Test Agency Evaluation Reports (OERs), etc.
  • Analyze and evaluate technical data, including instrumentation data, test-specific calculations, and deficiency reports to ensure valid results or identify weaknesses or failures encountered and probable causes, suggested modification, and design changes

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Knowledge and concepts of systems engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Network Engineering, Business, or related scientific or technical discipline.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to acquire knowledge of Army tactical network architecture, protocols, security, network management, and physics underlying these systems
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management and cross-functional team leadership and coordination
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently across a range of complex projects.
