The Application Support Manager (ASM) is responsible for providing in-depth, technical, application sales and services support to the North America (NA) sales/services organization on Health Physics products and systems. The ASM will assist with the development/delivery of customer sales/technical presentations and detailed product demonstrations in support of product sales. The ASM will develop and conduct technical training to the sales/service/support team and sales support staff as necessary. The ASM also supports sales and proposal inquiries for custom\integrated solutions and assists in decision making for final solution offering. The ASM will also work in cooperation with MARCOM/Sales/Service/Support to ensure maximum success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Must work closely with product managers and marketing managers by supplying field and Application Support and input to be used during product design, development, roadmap as well as new product launches.
- Will attend appropriate technical shows and conferences providing booth duty, sales support, and demonstration of Health Physics products as well as technical presentations.
- Will work closely with Health Physics staff/proposal mangers by supplying field and Application Support and input to be used during the preparation of responses to RFQ/RFP opportunities.
- Required, to drive proposal effort including writing, estimating, T&C review and final submission to customer.
- Must create formal technical Application Reviews to assist customers with the purchase of the best solution for their application.
- Must learn about competition products and how they compare to Mirion (Canberra) products\solutions.
- Must provide prompt support to customer requests.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess a minimum of three (3) years' experience in a related high technology field.
- Must have a thorough understanding of radiation detection fundamentals.
- Must have a thorough understanding of the nuclear industry and the specific needs of the nuclear industry.
- Must have excellent written and oral skills.
- Must be able to function independently.
- Must be willing to travel, on average, at least 2-3 nights per week.
- Must be well-organized and ensure that customer commitments are met on a timely basis.
EXPERIENCE
Master's Degree in Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Physics/Nuclear Physics or related field and 10 years of experience in nuclear related field, NOA measurements and management, laboratory, field experience, waste management experience. Lesser years of experience may be considered as the field of expertise becomes particularly specialized.
EDUCATION
Bachelor Science (BS) in Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Physics/Nuclear Physics or related field and 5 years' experience. Associate degree or non-technical degree with 15+ years related work may be considered.
