Job description

The anticipated hiring range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000. Hiring offers will be determined based on the final candidate's qualifications and experience. The recruiter can share more information about what the anticipated hiring salary would be based upon your specific qualifications during the selection process.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Application Integrator coordinates and performs activities related to the upgrade/integration/maintenance of software programs and applications, these activities include but are not limited to, developing, testing, analyzing, and maintaining new and existing software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the development and deployment of new applications, system software, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise, with a focus on the Ellucian Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) suite of Registration, Financial Aid, Accounts Receivable, Recruiter, and Portal.
  • Manage the user accounts, including the security roles and responsibilities of certain applications.
  • Work with end users analyzing their business processes in the creation of new reports, programming requirements or trouble-shooting new issues.
  • Provide end user support of application and reports, provides training to end users.
  • Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications.
  • Plan, execute, and manage the integration of new applications into existing systems and software throughout the enterprise.
  • Work diligently to enhance or improve business processes via integration, or, as necessary, minimize the impact of integration on those processes.
  • Evaluate results of integration projects, report and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Review and analyze existing applications for effectiveness and efficiency, and develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
  • Design, develop, and install enhancements and upgrades to systems and application software, including but not limited to, Student Information (SIS) systems, Self Service, Ethos Integration, Instruction-level Parallelism and Touchnet.
  • Research and make recommendations on software products and services in support of CIA initiatives.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer systems design or computer science, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.

Experience:
  • Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of systems administration and programming experience in relevant programming language(s), including web and mobile-related applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with Ellucian Colleague ERP Suite, SharePoint, Active Directory, API, Ethos and SSO.
  • Higher education work experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server databases and MS Tools.
  • Knowledge in designing and developing security reports, using Informer or other relevant reporting tool.
  • Direct, hands-on experience with automated software and system management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
  • Extensive experience with core software applications upgrades and maintenance, with any SIS ERP suite.
  • Technically fluent in programming languages and database design and data modeling.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to be adaptable, dependable and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to show a high level of service responsiveness to customers.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive issues with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills required.
  • Must display a high level of energy and self-motivation.
  • Strong computer experience, which must include abilities to work effectively with MS Office suite products, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends as required due to business needs.
  • Regular work requires the use of a computer, sometimes in excess of eight (8) hours per day.
