SAIC is looking for a Application Architectto come and join our team to help modernize IRS systems and processes, improve taxpayer experience, increase voluntary compliance, and reduce the Service's reliance on costly and unsustainable legacy technology.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all physical and logical architecture of client applications leveraging templates and processes
- Provide support and assistance to design, development, integrate, test, and deploy a modernized BMF platform and support day-to-day Operations & Maintenance (O&M) work based on IRS priorities.
- Support must also be provided for project management, O&M, development, modernization, enhancements, software development, legislative changes, and developmental O&M upgrades.
Qualifications
Required:
- BS and 5 years of experience with architectural frameworks and how to design applications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
- 5 years of work experience demonstrating knowledge of z/OS, Assembly Language, DB2, QSAM, IMS, CA Endevor, BMC Control-M, JCL and other core IBM mainframe technologies.
- Java, mainframe programming and migration
- z/OS
- Understanding Modernization Approaches
- Understanding Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Understanding Application analysis tools
- Strong communication skills
Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
