Job Description
Holley, a leader in automotive aftermarket products and safety products, has an opening for an Apparel Quality Control tech in Hawthorne, CA at the Simpson Race Products facility! This role will be responsible for the quality of products that Simpson produces and sells to the public and its dealers. The Apparel Quality Control tech will ensure that our products perform all the functions the consumer expects to perform at a high level.
Key Job Elements (Essential Functions Performed):
- QC of Custom Suits: Measure the Suit and ensure that the measurements and allowance are correct per the suit measurement chart.
- Review Suit and suit rendering for correct logos and colors and ensure the placement of logos is per suit rendering.
- Clean/ Trim all excess threads on all suits and prepare for the shipping department.
- SFI 20-15 Recerts: Inspect incoming fire suits for recertification.
- Wash suit if needed, call the customer with pricing, get payment information, and input orders into Syteline.
- Suit Alteration: Call customers to go over necessary alterations, pricing, and payment information, wash suit if needed, and enter alteration order into Syteline.
- Post Job Transaction: Post job operations into Syteline to take labor and backflush inventory.
- Assist with incoming shipments via truck.
- Assist with boxing orders and shipping out via Syteline/Sure Ship.
- Occasional forklift driving.
- Occasional driving pickup/delivery.
- All other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Education/Experience required):
- High School Education, or GED, is required.
- Demonstrate a high level of reliability and dependability.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and learn new ideas/methods quickly.
- Ability to work efficiently with little supervision.
- Prior experience in establishing incoming inspection processes and criteria is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to perform extensive standing, sitting, walking, and climbing; lift 50 lbs. regularly; manipulate up to 75 lbs. with assistance in picking up and moving stock materials and supplies; and wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb to reach materials.
