Position – Apigee Layer 7 Developer

Work Mode: Remote

Responsibilities and Requirements: -

· Design, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs using Apigee Edge platform.

· Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable API solutions.

· Implement security measures such as OAuth, JWT, and API keys to protect APIs from unauthorized access.

· Optimize API performance and ensure high availability and reliability.

· Develop and maintain API documentation, including specifications, usage guides, and troubleshooting procedures.

· Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to API gateway configurations, traffic management, and policy enforcement.

· Implement API analytics and monitoring to track usage, performance, and trends.

· Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in API management and microservices architecture.

· Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and team members.

· Participate in code reviews, software design discussions, and sprint planning sessions.

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

· Experience in software development, with a focus on API development and integration.

· Extensive hands-on experience with Apigee Edge platform, including API proxy development, API management, and policy enforcement.

· Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar.

· Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles, HTTP protocol, and web services standards.

· Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

· Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

· Familiarity with API security standards and protocols such as OAuth, JWT, and SSL/TLS.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

· Hands on experience with Broadcom API Gateway implementations.

· Experience with installation of Broadcom API Gateway in AWS EKS Containers.

· Experience with installation of IAM Software in AWS Environment.

· Knowledge of Threat Metrix rule configurations.

· Java/J2EE experience.

· IAM Domain Knowledge, MFA methods awareness.
