AP Specialist

LHH is working on a AP Specialist role with an energy company located in Austin, TX. Our client is targeting someone who thrives in a high energy and fast paced environment. To be considered for this role you must have a minimum of five years of accounts payable experience including high volume processing, 1099 preparation, journal entries, and month end. The direct hire accounts payable job will pay $60-$65k annually.
Responsibilities:

• Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices
  
• Request and follow-up on invoice approvals
  
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  
• Ensure vendor invoices are paid in a timely and accurate manner
  
• Initiate wire transfer payments in the online banking system
  
• Establish and maintain successful relationships with new and existing vendors
  
• Drive efficiencies through continual evaluation of our systems and business processes
  
• Support the annual 1099 filing process
  
• Perform other duties as required to support the Accounts Payable department
  

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant Accounts Payable experience
  
• NetSuite software experience required
  
• Knowledge of accounting and accounts payable best practices
  
• Strong technical accounting and financial analytical skills
  
• Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized, and exercises strong self-review in work
  
• Ability to manage a fast-paced, dynamic environment, strong sense of time management
  
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with different business stakeholders, clients, and teams
  

Pay Details: $60.00 to $65.00 per year
