AP Specialist

Marcum Search LLC is assisting our construction client in their search for an Accounts Payable Specialist east of Chagrin Falls.

We are currently assisting our Eastside Construction client on their search for an Accounts Payable Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a construction accounts payable background, Foundation software is preferred. We are searching for someone to be the point person for communications for all things accounts payable for the company, so this person should be comfortable talking with vendors and internal business unit leaders to address discrepancies.

Responsibilities

This Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the receiving and processing of all vendor invoices for the company. Monitoring to ensure payment is being paid within required deadlines by managing approval workflow. In addition, this role is also responsible for the proper review and coding of invoices for job costing purposes.

Job Duties Include

• Processing invoices for payment.
• Communicating with vendors regarding statements and outstanding invoice questions, including finance charges and pricing issues.
• Reconciling A/P within the system, and tracking various A/P records within Excel.
• Manage purchase orders from various departments within the business.
• Analyze and make improvements to the workflow within the A/P function.
• Work with the accounting team on various projects as needed to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications

• 2 plus years of Accounts Payable Experience.
• Good communication, priority setting and organizational skills.
• Understanding the general ledger and the A/P function in its entirety, including A/P reconciliations.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience required.
• System savvy; works well in Excel and Foundation a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
