As such, the Antitrust Economist position, has a wide range of responsibilities, including: utilizing economic theory and conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses to address competition issues and make policy recommendations; assisting attorneys in evaluating economic evidence during the course of an investigation, litigation or settlement; locating and working with outside economic experts to conduct expert economic analysis; testifying on behalf of the Department (where appropriate); and cooperating with and, in some cases, providing analyses to other state Attorney General offices and federal regulatory agencies including the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission.

- A Ph.D. or M.A. in economics, or equivalent;
- 2+ years' experience in economic research and analysis for law enforcement, regulatory, or administrative agencies , economic consulting (antitrust) or other equivalent experience;

- A strong set of empirical and communications skills (written and verbal); and
- Proficiency in using quantitative programs including Excel and at least one of
