SalarySecond Chance Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal shelter. Our primary focus is to save dogs and cats from euthanasia throughout Oklahoma. We are looking for a dedicated animal lover (or two) who is independently driven and self motivated to join our team! We need someone who pays attention to little details, doesn't hate to clean and wants to help animals in a rewarding way.
The Animal Handler will work alone and be under the direction of the Manager on Duty. Daily tasks include socializing/handling animals, cleaning kennels, providing medications, feeding animals, cleaning litter boxes, scooping poop, mopping, sweeping, laundry, dishes, and welcoming new furry faces. This position also handles the general public for things like adoption, handling donations, working with volunteers and more. We are looking at candidates who are comfortable walking a 70lb dog by themselves (with training) and are willing to help socialize some fearful kitties. This is a repetitive position and usually repeats the same tasks daily. Staff are usually at the facility 8AM to 6PM (at the latest!). We are looking for a candidate that can work weekends. Full time and part time opportunities available.

Pay: From $11.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
