Job description

Duties include responding to complaints about stray animals; investigating and issuing warning ticket(s) or citation(s) for animal complaints; impounding and transporting animals to appropriate locations; patrolling streets and alleys for strays or packs of dogs. Educating the public regarding animal related laws, ordinances and penalties for violations; maintaining accurate data and records. Cleaning and maintaining City kennels; operating and maintaining all Animal Control equipment; assisting with snow removal; citizen notifications and code enforcement when necessary.

Applicants must have basic computer knowledge, possess a valid driver’s license, and ability to work well with a broad spectrum of the Community. High school diploma or equivalent required. Applicants should possess or have the ability to obtain/maintain required certifications and trainings, including Canine Certification.

Work schedule will be Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m; however hours may fluctuate. Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and emergencies as needed. Complete benefit package offered.
