The Animal Care Specialist (ACS) is responsible for pet care, cleanliness, and assisting technicians and doctors. The ACS should be confident, organized, and illustrate compassion to animals.
job duties
- Walking, feeding, and bathing pets,
- Maintaining clean kennels and a clean/sanitary hospital,
- Restraining animals as needed,
- Assisting with animal euthanasia and aftercare,
- Maintaining digital records in Cornerstone,
- Learning and understanding medical terminology to keep pets and staff safe,
- Anticipating client needs and clarify information,
- Completing laundry as needed,
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds,
- Maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Education Requirements/Physical Requirements
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Lift 40 lbs.
Standing for long periods of time.
Valid Social Security Card.
Possession of a valid California driver's license or a valid identification card.
