SalaryWe are seeking individuals who are able-bodied, dependable, compassionate, highly motivated, and proactive to join our Animal Care Team department. This position requires someone who can perform designated tasks both individually and within a team. Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task with consistent attention to detail is required. Proper animal handling and restraint skills are preferred.
Applicants must be available for at least one weekend shift
Part-time shift hours vary between 7:00am to 12:00pm and 3:00pm to 7:00pm
Part-time weekly hours range from less than 10 hours, and up to 15 hours
Full-time shifts vary with a range of hours between 7:00am to 1:00pm and 1:00pm to 7:00pm
Full-time weekly hours range from 25 – 30 hours
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing care and comfort for the pets in our facility
- Walking dogs
- Bathing animals
- Preparing pets’ meals, cleaning kennels, and maintaining clean litter boxes
- Observing pets for obvious signs of concern and reporting concerns to senior staff
- Generalized cleaning of and around the clinic to maintain high standards of care
- Laundry
- Assisting Doctors and Technicians when necessary
