Android Mobile Application Developer
Description
The Mobile Application Developer position is responsible for the research, design, coding, testing, documentation, and maintenance of Mobile Applications for use by OnTrac employees and contractors.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Assist other developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and developing new Mobile Applications and maintaining and extending existing Mobile Applications.
- Work in an Agile Scrum team to produce consistent, iterative deployments
- Plan phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for a variety of projects.
- Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications.
- Consistently write, translate, and code Mobile Applications according to project and development specifications.
- Monitor software performance of new and existing applications for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
- Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.
- Work with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.
- Perform code reviews and other software QA for other developers.
- Provide guidance to Junior Developers during the development process.
Formal Education & Certification
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or software engineering, and/or 3 to 5 years equivalent work experience.
- Working technical knowledge of various programming languages and frameworks, including Swift, Objective C and Java
- Must have Android and IOS Development experience
- C#, TSQL, Firebase a plus
- Hands on experience working in integrated development environments, including Visual Studio Code, Xcode etc.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and data structures a plus.
- Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle
- Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
