100% Remote

Summary:

Responsible for managing, optimizing, overseeing, and monitoring data retrieval, analysis, and visualization related to strategic planning, operations. Assist different departments with process improvement projects to improve their operational readiness. Identifies trends in data sets and develops scripts to transform raw data into useful information for decision-making. Responsible for communicating with and across multiple departments ranging from IT to Administration to Materials Management to Clinical providers. Works alongside data analysts to help make use of the data they collect.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field, required. Master’s Degree in Industrial Systems Engineering or related field, preferred

Experience Requirement:

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience

Licensure/Certification Requirement:

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, required. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, preferred

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Acquires data from multiple systems and platforms used by both clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Assist clinical providers in statistical data analysis to provide insights on Key performance metrics.
  • Applies data extraction and transformation techniques to clean the data for visualization
  • Develop and optimize complex scripts in MY SQL
  • Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality using six sigma methodologies.
  • Use process improvement techniques to establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve workflow.
  • Conducts research for health industry and business questions and compare statistics to market competitors.
  • Uses large datasets to address and inform strategic planning goals around building high-performing workplaces, creating exceptional patient experiences, advancing clinical quality, improving financial performance, and transforming patient care delivery
  • Uses data visualization and statistical methods to perform advanced analysis to data and create dashboards for business leaders.
  • Automate data acquisition into analytic tools and create the processes to do so.
  • Deliver updates to hospital leaders based on analytics.
  • Performs other duties, projects and responsibilities as required.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    • Must have experience in My SQL.
    • Must have experience in using MS Access.
    • Must have experience in using QI Macros or similar statistical analysis software such as Minitab.
    • Experience with dashboard design and data visualization required using software such as Tableau, DOMO is preferred.
    • Knowledge of QI tools, excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to gather, analyze and communicate technical and clinical data
    • Advanced level of computer software skills including MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint.
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects/assignments.
