Job Description
- Execute accelerated Stability Studies by collaborating with clients; developing sample-stressing plans; utilizing ASAPprime software; creating plans that outline and schedule Stability Studies.
- Carry out lab activities that include (but are not limited to) preparation of solutions, weighing and preparation of samples for stressing, introducing/removing samples from conditions at appropriate times, setting and verifying setpoints, logging temp/RH, and coordinating with analytical lab regarding samples in que and specific testing required. Maintain strong and accurate records.
- Perform water vapor transmission rate testing.
- Serve as part of the Eurofins aerosol team by conducting aerosol-related methods, such as aerosol gravitational particle size measurement, and electronic mobility method. Assist with aerosol sampling and collection for testing.
- Perform daily laboratory duties to include preparing samples, performing analysis, calculating data, recording/reporting data, performing general housekeeping in alignment with 5S standards, and performing other duties as assigned.
- Meet all quality and productivity metrics
- Perform instrument calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, recognize errors, identify root causes, and maintain excellent working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation.
- Apply the highest quality standard in all areas of responsibility; maintain ISO 17025 quality standards and accreditation for the laboratory; review data, notebooks, logbooks, and reports.
- Demonstrate strong client service skills; proactively plan and maximize productivity; demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration; implement operational improvements; support and promote company policies and procedures
Qualifications
- 4-year bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related scientific discipline
- 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience
- Experience working with Stability Studies preferred
- Comfort with working within the tobacco industry
- Experience working within an established quality system (ISO 17025 preferred)
- Understanding of production laboratory operations
- Detailed-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills along with demonstrated ability to collaborate with others.
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
