Your Role at Baxter:

As a global company operating in more than 100 countries and currencies around the world, Baxter conducts banking with many banking partners in all global regions. The Analyst, Treasury Operations role provides critical central administration of the documentation and recordkeeping necessary to control banking access, maintain up-to-date authorities and organize related records to ensure well governed and efficient banking services. The analyst will collaborate with Corporate Treasury management, Legal, Business Units and Bank Representatives to prepare and execute required documentation. This position requires continual attention to detail in composing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Work with banks to execute banking changes required for divestitures and Baxter’s spin-off. Learn and understand all requirements for required banking changes. Assist with bank portal segregation
  • Develop process to review and maintain user access in accordance with internal controls requirements.
  • Specialist will have primary responsibility for processing requests to open and close bank accounts and conduct required administrative documentation activities, including document preparation, scanning, mailing and filing based on Baxter procedures and bank requirements. Specialist will prepare banking documentation to initiate account changes and manage the document signing and delivery logistics globally as well as maintain a tracking log and dashboard to enable tracking of all documentation requirements from initiation to completion
  • Organize and verify bank account signatory data across all regions and use the Kyriba Treasury Management System to record signatory authorities with applicable accounts. This includes the preparation of banking documentation to initiate signatory changes and the management of documentation signing and delivery logistics. This activity will deliver a high impact control improvement to the bank account administration process and support key SOX control requirements
  • Initiate required user administration activities on various bank portals to add, remove and maintain user access according to Baxter procedures as well as maintain administrative logs and reports as required by corporate controls.
  • Assists with plans to effectively operationalize treasury tools and processes including cash management, transaction management, banking relationships, and master data for Treasury Systems. Become an expert in local entity liquidity forecast to ensure the company properly positions cash around the region to meet obligations.
  • Maintains core data in treasury systems such as banks, bank accounts, mapping rules, reports, report templates, intercompany partnerships, and standard settlement instructions for intercompany and third-party transactions. Provide approvals for dual administration change requests

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred or related field (or country equivalent).
  • 1 plus years of experience with bank account or cash management, financial planning and analysis, accounting, Treasury Operations, or finance decision support.
  • Experience working with Treasury Management Software, a plus.
  • Good communication and strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude and financial knowledge and a desire organization, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Good analytical skills with familiarity in accounting, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Technical and financial knowledge including business controls, data analysis, and general banking concepts.
  • Working knowledge of PC applications (i.e., Excel/Word/Power Point) with the ability to present both written and spoken information clearly and effectively.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $60,000 to $82,500 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
