Job Functions

As a Parts Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing pricing strategies and data related to parts and components within our organization. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams to optimize pricing structures and maximize profitability. 

Be a part of a current pricing software implementation project that will add value to Parts Operations in gross profit margin at The Toro Company with the Parts Pricing Team!  Implementing a pricing software solution to enhance gross profit margins is an exciting and impactful project. The project will focus on competitive pricing model for top priority parts. 

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: ​

  • Price Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of pricing data for parts and components, including historical pricing trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape.  Performs segmentation mathematical analysis of parts catalog to identify high opportunity part numbers.  Creates calculations, formulas for pricing rules and strategies.

  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop pricing strategies that align with company goals and objectives.  Performs segmentation analysis of parts catalog to identify high opportunity part numbers. Support the annual price review (led by the manager).  Pilot new price methods, mathematical models to increase parts profit.

  • Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competitor pricing strategies and market trends to identify opportunities for competitive pricing adjustments.  Leads & supports competitive research & data gathering for high opportunity parts. 

  • Cost Analysis: Analyze cost data associated with parts and components to ensure pricing decisions are financially sound and aligned with profit margins.

  • Performance Tracking: Track and evaluate the performance of pricing strategies, making recommendations for adjustments and improvements as needed. 

  • Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive reports and presentations on pricing analysis findings and recommendations to marketing managers and other key stakeholders.  Create and present pricing proposals.

  • Systems Management: Utilize SAP pricing management systems and pricing software to maintain accurate pricing data and support pricing decisions.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve pricing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Databases: Creation of databases, to include sequential data manipulation and define technical specification for SAP price enhancements, or SQL table enhancements

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

Analyst II

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Statistics.

  • 2 years of experience in pricing analysis or related field, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

  • Advanced knowledge of SAP (Sales and Distribution).

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel formulas and Access Queries.

  • Excellent data skills, ability to do extracts, with assistance from IS as needed.

  • Experience working in a global pricing function with multi-divisional responsibilities

  • Advanced knowledge of mathematical financial/statistical models

  • Power BI developer and dashboard skills.

Analyst III

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Statistics.

  • 3+ years of experience in pricing analysis or related field, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical techniques, with experience using tools such as Excel, SQL, write sequential queries, or other data analysis software.

  • Expert knowledge in SAP Price Configuration.

  • Strong understanding of pricing principles, statistics and methodologies, with the ability to apply them in a business context.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.

  • Advanced knowledge of mathematical financial/statistical models.

  • Power BI developer and dashboard skills.

  • Trouble shooting, pro-active to challenges and create solutions.

  • Team player, curious, innovative, willingness to learn/quick learner.

  • Good attitude and willingness to help out.

  • Adaptable and flexible with day to day duties, projects and last minute requests.

Competitive Salary The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
