What You'll Do
As an Analyst, Investment Operations you will handle global transactions as well as conduct special analysis and/or studies in regards to trading, settlement and/or the trade reporting process This role will primarily work with members of the global operations staff, legal, relationship management, IT, brokers, custodians, portfolio manager, and traders.
Here are few examples of the kinds of things you'll do when you join our team:
  • Execute intermediate recurring procedures, analysis and report preparation to support the lifecycle of investments in a global infrastructure.
  • Ensure readiness for post trading activities such as confirmation, settlement and the trade reporting process.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers across Principal
  • Support global investment initiatives through participation in projects, development and implementation of new initiatives, process reviews and/or system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external personnel including senior operations staff, legal, relationship management, IT, brokers, custodians, portfolio managers, traders, regulatory agencies and/or industry contracts to educate, provide direction, obtain information and resolve problems

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in accounting, finance, economics or business related field preferred.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task, prioritize and be flexible as business needs change.
  • Attention to detail when working with large data sets and good analytical skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, critical thinking and time management skills. Own issues and resolve them in collaboration with others.
  • Proven ability to use and learn new technology.
Skills that will help you stand out:
  • Existing understanding of or willingness to learn about financial products across all public asset types.
  • Prior professional work experience within Financial Services industry is ideal.
  • Ability to provide customer service and work under pressure in a deadline driven, team based environment and ability to produce accurate and timely information with limited direct supervision.
  • Prior experience with DTCC vendor tools, Charles River or like systems is a plus.

Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range
$27.40 - $37.45 / hour
