Analyst - Income And Collections Team

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Collection Agent to join our team. As a Collection Agent, you will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding accounts receivable. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Contact customers via phone or email to collect outstanding payments

- Negotiate payment arrangements and set up payment plans

- Update customer accounts with payment information and notes

- Perform account analysis to identify delinquent accounts and determine appropriate actions

- Utilize financial concepts such as debits, credits, and account reconciliation

- Collaborate with other departments, such as Accounts Payable and Medical Billing, to resolve customer inquiries and disputes

- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities

- Provide excellent customer service while adhering to company policies and procedures

- Follow up with customers on payment arrangements and resolve any issues or concerns promptly

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and procedures

- Familiarity with medical billing terminology and practices

- Proficient in using financial software systems for account analysis and reconciliation

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to negotiate effectively and maintain professionalism during difficult conversations

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Experience in telemarketing or collections is a plus

- Knowledge of phone etiquette and customer service best practices
