Analyst - Financial Systems

LOCATION:  Corporate                                           DIVISION: Finance/Accounting

FUNCTION DESCRIPTION:

Supports the planning, development, automation, and implementation of business-related systems that impact Accounting and Finance.  Participate in projects and testing of system changes. Assists in the development, maintenance, and training of Accounting/Finance staff on systems procedures and support materials. Provides support to Accounting and Finance departmental staff.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to:      Senior Director - Technology & Administration

Supervises:      None

Contacts:         Internal staff, managers, executive staff, OTS, core system and support system contacts (Fiserv), auditors, examiners, vendors, suppliers or service providers, limited member contact. Liaison for Accounting and Finance departments for all system-related issues.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Education:       Bachelor's degree required (in Accounting, Finance, Economics or IT )

Experience:     Minimum of two years experience in a combination of the following areas: general accounting, financials, budget cost analysis and banking system software application analysis (Fiserv DNA and Fiserv Prologue preferred), business intelligence software, and Hyperion Essbase.

Experience with multi-dimensional reporting tools such as Hyperion Essbase

Experience with business intelligence software such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, or Tableau

Strong PC skills with experience and proficiency using Microsoft Word, advanced to expert Excel including Power Query, Access, and Power Point

Knowledge of SQL, Oracle, Monarch, and Crystal helpful

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Ability to work effectively on project teams cultivating working relationships and producing time sensitive deliverables

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate results with senior level executives

1. Provides a valuable and enjoyable experience to both internal customers and members during interactions. Consistently suggests ways to improve the member/customer experience through improved processes and technology.

1. Assists in the creation of complex financial models and ad hoc analysis with organization-wide impact for executive management, the Finance Committee and Board of Directors.

1. Design and develop financial, analytical, and statistical reports across multiple systems and data sets to address organizational needs.

1. Assists in the design of new business processes including system analysis, development, and implementation.

1. Function as an Accounting/Finance liaison with other Bellco business users on initiatives related to systems. This would include core and other system releases, updates, enhancements, product implementation, testing, problem resolution and quality assurance.

1. Assists in the analysis of Accounting/Finance functional systems usage and recommend changes in procedures or system enhancements that would improve productivity and/or accuracy.

1. Helps to maintain systems and may function as administrator to the various software's.

1. Coordinate and communicate Accounting/Finance department testing and implementation of new releases, new products, and improvements.

1. Ensure accuracy of all output of the Accounting/Finance systems.

1. Assists in the identification of operations and system weaknesses to ensure adequate internal controls are in place and maintained.

1. Document, coordinate and assist with development and maintenance of operations and systems procedures and support materials.

1. Assists in the development, coordination and training sessions for systems and related accounting operations processes and procedures.
