Job Description
Analyst, Enterprise Risk Management
The candidate will work with the Analytics department within the Enterprise Risk Management team to support all divisions of C&F with identifying, quantifying and managing their risks. The role will be responsible for continued development of ERM frameworks to ensure a consistent and thoughtful approach to risk vs. reward across the more than $5 billion of annual gross written premium at C&F.
What YOU will do:
  • Assist with creating monthly limit and exception reports; Validate new exception reports as more are developed
  • Assist in gathering data and creating quarterly Terrorism Risk Report
  • Perform analytics to assist in setting corporate tolerances around aggregations of exposures; monitor reporting of these metrics to ensure corporate tolerances are not breached
  • Gather data and provide analysis to help identify, quantify, and manage risks to the organization; assist in developing risk mitigation strategies
  • Develop knowledge of C&F's various business units and products
  • Keep up to date with developing trends and emerging risks; evaluate potential impact of these risks to the organization
  • Assist with various other ERM tasks

What YOU will bring to C&F:
  • Require Bachelor's degree in Risk Management/Insurance, Mathematics, Finance or related field or equivalent experiences
  • 0-2 years of commercial insurance experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with others
  • Highly proficient in Excel; Knowledge of SQL desired, but not necessary

The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $56,200.00 to a maximum of $93,600.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee's contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
