Location:
Richmond, VA; This position will follow a hybrid work-from-home/office model with at least 3 days per week in office.
Role Summary:
This position reports to the Manager of Corporate Communications. The primary areas of focus will be North America’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) volunteer activities, internal communication efforts including management of WorkPlace & intranet sites, collaboration on and execution of inter-regional and global communications initiatives. Support of internal/external promotional efforts and social media/industry media management.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Lead the CSR Connections volunteer group to support and promote CSR initiatives across NA offices.
- Develop and monitor criteria to evaluate the impact of CSR initiatives, including collecting data on employee volunteer hours, donations, cost vs. benefit, and alignment with ONE’s brand and core values.
- Assist with budget proposals and expense tracking for CSR activities.
- Compile and present CSR proposals to the CSR Board including organization ratings, reputation, and analysis of any potential conflicts of interest of nominated charitable organizations and activities.
- Create and distribute content promoting CSR activities both internally & externally while liaising with nonprofit organizations and industry partners to champion CSR events.
- Draft and monitor policies and guidelines for CSR activities related to proposing, managing, promoting, logging participation, and posting activities.
- Support the assessment of promotional materials for adherence to ONE’s brand guidelines.
- Assist with the support and coordination of company participation at industry events.
- Collaborate on employee engagement projects and initiatives.
- Assist with the planning, creation, and scheduling of social media content.
- Provide backup for regional website maintenance, updates, and publishing of advisories.
- Support order fulfillment and management of customer/employee promotional items.

- Familiarity with ONE’s CSR principles and practices.
- Willingness to take direct guidance while being lean & agile to manage shifting priorities.
- Capacity to work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate cross-departmentally to support corporate communication and CSR project initiatives.
- High level of creativity, open to change and driven to overcome obstacles.
- Available for extended hours and travel, as needed.
Function Specific Required Skills and Competencies:
- Basics in Adobe Creative Suite, photo, graphics, and video editing/curation.
- Proficiency in Google and/or Microsoft Office Applications.
- Educational or professional experience in digital marketing.
- Knowledge of email marketing curation and reporting.
- Social Media brand management and paid advertisement knowledge.
- Basic CMS/ HTML/front-end website knowledge.
- Knowledge of website/ social media analytic tools (e.g., Google Analytics, IconoSquare etc.)
Required Minimum Years Experience:
2 + Industry Knowledge (Shipping/Logistics) - Function-related experience considered.
Required Minimum Education:
Education/Experience in Business Administration, Public Relations, Marketing, or other related fields.
