Summary
Serves as a resource to CCM organization in the development of budget, analysis, execution, monitoring, reporting, cost tracking for projects, and corrective accounting actions. Continually evaluates procedures for efficient operations of the CCM organization budgets, tracking of costs by project for ROI, conducts training sessions for CCM as needed for process improvement and standardization. Provides support to the budget operations lead and team by providing budget services, assistance, and guidance. Ideal candidate gives attention to detail, has a willingness to learn and grow, and values cross-coverage in support of high performing teams. Technical aptitude, experience working with databases, Excel, Excel VBA, Power BI and other technology is essential.
What You'll Do
- Processes all department invoices from both internal and external sources through CSV tracking system.
- Confers with Supervisors and managers within the division on all phases of budgets to provide assistance or instructions at his/her own initiative.
- Advises management personnel on budget status of items including additions, reductions or cancellations of requests.
- Assists in presentation of special interpretive reports to management to keep them informed as to results compared with budget cost of operations.
- Assists in analysis and evaluation of actual results and preparation of reports between budgetary financial plans and actual performance.
- Keeps informed as to new developments in budgeting and financial planning techniques and recommends applications appropriate to project operations.
- Creates, inputs, and monitors competitive service value data and reports results to internal SRP organizations.
- Works with CSV Manager and Financial Planning to test reasonableness of spending and set annual pricing.
- Provides support to the budget operations team and lead as needed.
- Provides budget and business services to CCM.
Experience
Promotion to level 2 requires a minimum of two years' experience at level 1; demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor. Promotion to senior level requires a minimum of three years' experience at level 2; is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities plus successful completion of any additional education and training specified.
Education
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
