The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly-motivated Analyst to be part of the General Accounting Team within the Raytheon Technologies’ Enterprise Services – Controllership and Compliance organization. This position supports Business Unit accounting functions. This person will perform the following primary responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Represent the fixed asset organization working with individuals at all levels across the organization.
- Play a critical role in the financial closing and reporting.
- Act as Superuser for RTX Fixed Assets Workflow Tool and eCAR portals.
- Record journal entries in SAP accurately and timely.
- Perform fixed asset tasks (project set up, disposals, transfers, & capitalization requests).
- Application of fixed asset policy in daily tasks and provide policy guidance to internal customers.
- Run monthly and weekly amortization /settlement schedules and ensure automated processes are timely and accurate.
- Assist leadership with initiatives by providing feedback on process improvements along with support of implementation of changes.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and follow-up on reconciling issues.
- Support special projects as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Familiarity with US GAAP Accounting
- Ability to obtain Raytheon sponsored security clearance
- Proven verbal and written communication skills, good business acumen and ability to brief levels of management
- Knowledge of/or experience with current finance and accounting systems and month end close procedures
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and database reporting skills
- Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Ability to maintain a service-oriented demeanor with professionalism in sensitive and challenging situations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Operational Finance experience preferred
- Experience in SAP, JDEdwards and/or HFM is a plus
Education:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
Location:
Primary office located in Farmington, CT or Cedar Rapids, IA
Working from home 60% to 100% of the time is encouraged and will be discussed further during the interview/ hiring process

The salary range for this role is 52,000 USD - 98,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
