Aml Investigator - Now Hiring

Overview:

• Candidates must have experience reviewing flagged cases and, from there, writing/drafting and filing SARs. This is the most important skillset.
• This team focuses on consumer/retail AML investigations (SBB included).
• Prefer candidates with larger bank experience with VERY high volume of complex cases – able to review large volumes of parties in a case.
• Will be writing 4 SARS per day (min.) and the paragraph on the summary of the activity that has happened and convey why it is suspicious or not.

Minimum Requirement:

• Must have ~3-5 years of experience writing SARs for AML cases at a major bank.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university in finance, accounting, business related
• Knowledge of and ability to apply knowledge of regulatory/compliance risk management and financial crimes related requirements

Job Description:

These positions are open due to a very large backlog of fraud cases that need to be reviewed.

Financial Crimes Investigators for Ops team responsible for reviewing, analyzing and identifying indicators of potential money laundering, terrorist financing activity, fraud and elder abuse and financial exploitation from information sources such as surveillance / monitoring alerts, open source media reports and internal referrals. Responsibilities include concise documentation of financial crimes review results and preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR-SF or SAR-DI) in accordance with US laws, the Bank Secrecy Act and the USA PATRIOT Act and/or state reporting to Adult Protective Services and local law enforcement. This position also requires the ability to apply knowledge of financial crimes requirements to the diverse businesses of a large financial institution that includes US and international banking services and an institutional and retail broker/dealer.
