THE POSITION
Our roster has an opening with your name on it

FanDuel Group is looking to add an AML Escalations Senior Associate to its Financial Crimes Compliance team, with experience in compliance and/or related operations to review and disposition escalations related to suspicious deposit, withdrawal and gameplay activity, sanctions, politically exposed persons ("PEPs") and negative media. The position will also be responsible for managing escalations from both internal and external partners including Fraud & Payments, Responsible Gaming and Risk & Trading, plus transaction monitoring alerts as well as performing customer enhanced due diligence. 

This role will report to an AML Ops Manager and sit within the FanDuel Group Legal and Compliance Team. Successful licensing with state gaming regulators will be required following employment.

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Perform anti-money laundering, sanctions, PEP and negative news review processes in accordance with the FanDuel AML Policy.
  • Conduct enhanced due diligence and in-depth reviews related to escalations from internal and external stakeholders as well as prepare clear and concise responses to regulators and law enforcement requests.
  • Prepare investigation reports, summaries, and present findings.   
  • Perform secondary reviews of escalations performed by associates.
  • Work with teams including Fraud & Payments, Responsible Gaming, Risk & Trading, Retail and Conduct & Integrity to gather information related to escalations, as needed.
  • Research, evaluate, and analyze escalations to determine risk and any further action necessary.
  • Continually learn and adapt to changing money laundering trends and suspicious behavior.
  • Identify process improvements and help implement changes to further develop the AML program.
  • Train, mentor and guide associates within the team.
  • Support operational reporting and tracking and other metrics that can be effectively used in risk-based reporting for senior management.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • 3+ years working in the compliance function of a highly regulated financial institution or a proven track record of performance in daily fantasy sports, online gaming, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for process execution.
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written), organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of common money laundering trends and emerging threats.
  • Advanced understanding of Check, ACH, Wire, Debit/Credit card, PayPal, and other payment channels.
  • Passion to work hard in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • An exceptional team player with a desire to be a leader within FanDuel Group.
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification preferred.
  • Licensure: Must be able to pass required licensing as mandated by various state racing and gaming regulatory bodies.

The applicable salary range for this position is $70,000 - $88,000, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation.

This role includes flexible time off (including unlimited paid time off for full-time employees) and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
