We are currently searching for an Ambulatory Surgery Center Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at our Mallard Creek Surgery Center in Charlotte, NC. This is a PRN position, approximately 10 hours a week, normally within the hour structure 5:00am-7:30pm.
The Ambulatory Surgery Center RN will have experience in delivering excellence service to physicians and participating in high performance teams. To be successful in this position, an RN would have technical expertise in orthopedic peri-operative nursing and clinical care, while also being able to work in a primary nursing area for the center. This position is responsible for the coordination of the telephone preadmission assessment process for patients in the Ambulatory Surgery Center environment. Other responsibilities include:

  • Ability to function as part of a team and cross-train to other primary areas including (but not limited to) assisting with turnover and other aspects of day-to-day center operations
  • Working with a sense of urgency and professionalism
  • Current NC RN license required
  • Previous OR experience preferred

Education/Experience:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, College or University.
  • Current License/registration by NC as a registered Nurse.
  • At least two years' experience in either perianesthesia (Preop/PACU) or perioperative (OR) nursing, preferred
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
  • Ambulatory experience preferred. PACU experience is required.
  • This position is PRN.
