MISSION
  • East Tennessee Children's Hospital will improve the health of children through exceptional, comprehensive family-centered care, wellness, and education.

BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB
    • Develops, implements and maintains a variety of complex provider compensation programs, plans, policies, processes and systems; addresses related administrative issues that may be linked to program and project responsibilities; and otherwise coordinates actions with other operational groups such as Finance, Information Systems, Human Resources Administration, Payroll, etc.; oversees payer credentialing, ambulatory project management, including but not limited to EMR standardization and conversion; responsible for creating and overseeing centralized patient contact center.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum Education
      • Bachelor's Degree required
      • Master's Degree preferred
  • Minimum Work Experience
      • 7 years in healthcare operations, accounting, or finance
  • Required Licenses/Certifications for position
      • None
  • Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
      • Strong organizational and management skills. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with staff and providers. Strong decision making skills and attention to detail a plus. Strategic and "big picture" thinker. Efficient, organized, and resourceful

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    • Light lifting, pushing and pulling is required for 10-20 lbs occasionally and frequent moving of objects of less than 10 lbs is required. Frequent sitting with some walking, standing, squatting, bending and reaching is required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
