AMBULANCE DISPACHER- FULL TIME, MULTIPLE SHIFTS OPTIONS AVAILABLE
Ohio Ambulance provides BLS/ALS emergency and non-emergency medical transportation and non-medical transportation services to various medical facilities throughout Ohio. As a Dispatcher, you will utilize company specific dispatch software, resources, and tools to deploy the most appropriate vehicle(s), in the most efficient manner, to respond to our customer’s needs. Using the latest technology you will be the main line of support for our field personnel (EMTs/Paramedics/Ambulette Attendants) by providing them with the information they need to assure that our patients are transported in the most appropriate mode of transport, in the most efficient and safe manner.
The Dispatcher is expected to perform in a competent, timely, collaborative, and professional manner, and in strict accordance not only with all applicable laws, but also with the high standard of ethical behavior that is the hallmark of Ohio Ambulance Solutions, LLC.

Job Qualifications
- Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age
- Education Requirement: Highschool Diploma or GED
- Relative experience and/or credentials preferred.
- Submit to criminal background checks and drug and alcohol screening per Company standards.

By utilizing company specific dispatch software, resources, and tools, the Dispatcher is responsible for deploying the most appropriate vehicle(s), in the most efficient manner, to respond to our customer’s needs. The Dispatcher’s purpose is to provide our Field personnel (EMTs/Paramedics/Ambulette Attendant) with the information they need to assure that our patients are transported in the most appropriate mode of transport, in the most efficient and safe manner. The Dispatcher is the main line of support for our field personnel and should always act as such.

Operational Essential Functions
- Provide staffing for the Ohio Ambulance Dispatch Center.
- Remain knowledgeable of all hardware and software solutions companywide, with a clear understanding of how each specific product is related to Dispatch. This should be achieved by staying current with company shared information through ongoing, notifications, meetings, webinars, etc.
- Follow clinical and dispatch related protocols to appropriately assign the proper vehicles.
- Make every effort to assure our customers receive services within a timely manner. Promptly notify necessary parties when delays are anticipated and consistently provide updated estimated times of arrival (ETAs).
- Required to perform overflow call-intake functions
- Provide an enthusiastic dedication to providing quality patient care, and excellent customer service.
Physical Accommodations and Environment
The physical requirements of the Dispatch position include, but are not limited to;
- Sit, at a desk, for a majority of the scheduled shift with the ability to stand, stretch, walk around as needed.
- The Dispatcher Center is located on the 2nd Floor of a warehouse building, requiring stairs.
- Warehouse environment. Indoor temperatures average 72 degrees.
- Lifts, moves, and/or carries in excess of 20 lbs. on a occasional basis.
