Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Engineering combines operational support and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant services and systems dedicated to U.S. Government customers. ADC Engineers ensures that AWS services - both our internally and externally-visible services - continually raise the bar on security, availability, and scalability. Additionally, ADC Engineers keep an ever-watchful eye on our systems' capacity and performance. Much of our focus is to optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and eliminating work through automation. You’ll have the opportunity to manage the complex operational challenges of scale, which are unique to AWS, while using your expertise to work with other teams and engineers to drive large-scale system decisions.
ADC Engineering’s culture of diversity, intellectual curiosity, problem solving, and openness is critical to its success. Our organization brings together people with a wide variety of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. We encourage them to collaborate, think big and take risks in a fault-free environment. We promote self-direction to work on meaningful projects, while also striving to create an environment that provides the support and mentorship needed to learn and grow.
Behind everything our customers see is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, offering over 200 fully featured services. We have unmatched experience, maturity, reliability, security, and performance that our customers depend upon for their most critical applications. AWS has the most operational experience, at greater scale, of any cloud provider. We're proud of our engineers and love taking things apart to rebuild them. For over 15 years, we have been delivering cloud services to millions of customers around the world.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
