Essential Job Function: Servers are responsible for ensuring that all guests who dine with us have memorable experiences filled with hospitality, delicious food and drinks, and exceptional service while maintaining the JF standards of service within all F&B outlets. Certifications in TIPS required.
Key Responsibilities:
The Server is the backbone of our Service team and is ultimately responsible for the sale and service of our food and beverages, while acting as a leader on the floor and providing our guests with warm and attentive hospitality. Servers must possess a natural drive to do well and work together with their team.
- Demonstrate expertise of all food and beverage menu items with sound knowledge of all ingredients and preparations.
- Consistently follows steps of service with efficiency and grace, while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout service.
- Anticipates guest needs, ensuring constant communication with colleagues, management, and the kitchen at all times during service.
- Maintains the high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during and after service.
- Active engagement and ownership in continuing education and development of the craft and elements of hospitality.
- Increase sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution.
- Ensure station is fully stocked and ready for service.
- Compliance with OSHA, local health and safety codes, as well as Company safety and security policies.
- Provide attentiveness and excellent service to VIP guests.
- Must work well in a team dynamic.
- Complete tasks in other FOH roles when needed to contribute to a positive guest experience.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements:
- 1 year experience as a server in a high volume restaurant
- 6 AM start is a must
- Experience working with premier spirits and international wines. Good cocktail, wine, and spirit knowledge
- Sound judgment and knowledge of restaurant operations, as well as strong menu knowledge
- Ability to perform essential job functions when working in a high business volume, fast paced environment
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, variable schedules per the needs of the business
- Polished personal presentation; grooming meets Company standards, as outlined by Employee Handbook
- State applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to balance & carry multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses, and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
