Allergy Nurse - Per Diem

Penn Medicine Becker ENT & Allergy seeks an enthusiastic nurse to join their Allergy team in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal applicant must be team oriented, flexible, organized and have great communication skills. Attention to detail is a must. Experience in allergy not required.

The successful applicant will be trained in the primary duties which include:

• Interpretation of allergen prescriptions, administer immunotherapy injections via progressive dosage schedules, and determine adjustments to schedule and dosage based on the patient’s symptoms, previous reactions or issues, and time between injections.
• Ability to recognize signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis and initiate emergency procedures and treat anaphylaxis with epinephrine, nebulizer treatments, intravenous fluids, and other necessary treatments.
• Treatment of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Education of patients on allergy shots and clinic expectations.
• Able to document all care provided in the appropriate medical systems.
