Essen Health Care is a leading provider of primary and specialty care, urgent care, nursing home care, house calls, and telehealth services in New York City. Essen has five integrated clinical divisions that serve over 100,000 patients annually. Essen is currently seeking Primary Care Physicians in all specialties (Nursing Home, Home Care, Urgent Care, Office) to join our team of over 300 clinicians. As an Essen physician, you will enjoy:

As an Essen physician, you will be responsible for:

  • Examining, diagnosing, and treating patients of all ages
  • Ordering and interpreting various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images
  • Administering or prescribing treatments and medications
  • Advising patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive health measures
  • Collaborating with other clinicians and care managers to provide coordinated and comprehensive care
  • Documenting patient information and clinical notes in our electronic medical record system

To be eligible for this position, you must have:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board certification or board eligibility in your specialty
  • Active New York State medical license and DEA registration
  • Successful completion of an approved residency training program
  • Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience (for urgent care positions)
  • Bilingual (Spanish / English) skills are a plus, but not required

Essen has a strong presence in all five boroughs of New York City, with a primary focus in the Bronx. Essen maintains a Clinical Information Services team that supports our enterprise-wide electronic medical record system, data repository, clinical analytics, and population health capabilities. Essen also has a Community Services team that creates and sustains relationships with community organizations, agencies, and health plans.
