Job Description
As a translator / interpreter working at Plastic Ingenuity, you'll be working with our team members and supervisors to interpret and translate information about our processes, our expectations, our safety rules and feedback to/from team members and supervisors. You will also be able to apply your extensive language skills to prepare a range of documentation clearly and accurately. This documentation will include training materials, procedures, policies, and other written materials related to Plastic Ingenuity. Your skills are essential as we integrate and include team members who speak very little English. Your reading, writing and speaking expertise in English and Albanian will be the key to ensuring clarity, safety, and cohesion within our diverse team.
The role will be working primarily with our inspector packers who visually inspect and package our finished goods.
Pay will be $35/hour. We anticipate this LTE role to be up to 6 months.
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of Albanian and English, both written and spoken
- Experience as a translator is preferred
- Ability to ensure translation maintains appropriate feeling, tone and style
- Ability to work on-site at our Mazomanie, WI location.
- Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and walk on the production floor to interpret conversations is a must.
- Work hours: 2-6 pm for 3-5 days per week (weekdays only). The days worked during the week and the 4-hour time slot can vary slightly but needs to be consistent from week to week.
