APG is the world’s largest and most successful airline representation company with offices in over 100 countries. We partner with over 200 airlines and are now seeking an additional Airline Sales Account Manager to join our US team.

Our Airline Sales Account Managers are responsible for proactively managing business relationships with travel companies and strategic partners in the assigned territory. The successful candidate will be expected to build market share, maximize revenue growth and develop new commercial relationships on behalf of our valued airline clients. Key prerequisites for the role include at least 2 years’ experience in successful outside commercial sales for airlines, the ability to demonstrate existing relationships with the travel community in the assigned territory, the ability to identify and activate revenue opportunities and to show evidence of proactive sales and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop the sale of passenger traffic in all market sectors on behalf of our airline clients within the assigned territory through a focused segmentation-based outside sales plan.
This includes relationship building, consultative selling techniques, customer service skills, effective use of travel/sales budget and time and territory management. Additionally, this role is responsible for acquiring new business through maximizing existing relationships and cold calling to meet assigned team and individual goals. The Account Manager will be responsible for revenue production against projected, measurable goals. This role requires extensive use of sales technology to identify tactical opportunities to increase revenue and share for our airline clients.
Implement business plans and incentive agreements with travel agents, tour wholesalers and commercial accounts to effectively drive revenue growth. Develop custom client solutions through in-depth data analysis, market intelligence, deal building, account planning, account reviews and consistent, focused contract performance management. Analytical and competitive analysis and special projects responsibilities as assigned by management. Analytical tools (Microsoft Office Suite, and Zoho/Salesforce)

Think Big – generate new business development through acquisition and maximizing our company’s portfolio offerings. Negotiate and manage business partnerships with key executive decision-makers and travel suppliers.

ROI – maintain consistent focus on sales budget and amenities.
Be upbeat, agile and energetic, with strong negotiating skills and financial acumen, airline industry knowledge and experience is a must.
Attend meetings, trade functions and special events to promote future sales and create awareness of the products and destinations of our company and our airline clients.

Job Qualifications
Must be legally authorized to work in the United State for any employer, without sponsorship.. Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications. Reliable punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience – 2 + years’ experience in sales/airline management

Must Have Airline/Travel agency experience
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills required.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Must have experience in Airline or Travel Agency sales and familiarity with the US travel trade
Must have demonstrated required skills as detailed in the job description, ability to multi task and capable of self organizing and working productively on a remote basis.
A team-player with drive and a creative approach to business development.
Full driving license.
