Aircraft Parts Painter B - 2nd Shift

Job Summary:
To apply finishes to a variety of parts or assemblies. May be required to assist lower grade Painters.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working from oral and written instructions and established procedures, prepare painted surfaces, spray primers or various paint finishes to parts and assemblies. Uses some judgment in obtaining desired finish.
- Professionally applies paint to surface maintaining finish requirements acceptable to shop supervision and quality control.
- Adjusts and cleans spray gun and paint equipment or other company tools checked out for performing job assignments with appropriate solvents.
- May perform application of anti-corrosive agents to parts and assemblies.
- Responsible only for own work and quality of own work.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Education:
Requires a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.
Experience:
Requires a minimum of one year manufacturing spray painting or equivalent experience. May be required to complete department-specific certifications.
Working Conditions:
Particularly disagreeable working conditions due to exposure to paint fumes
