Aircraft Parts Former C - 2nd Shift

JOB SUMMARY:
To fabricate, form, roll, joggle, punch, pierce, blank, and press a variety of sheet metal aircraft details.
May be required to work with higher grade operators while in training.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Setup and operate various sizes of form, roll, joggle, punch, pierce, blank, and press equipment
Utilize a variety of tools, blueprints, measuring instruments, and shop aids. Plan and layout
operational and set up sequences. Perform routine duties in loading/unloading raw material as
well as hand forming and straightening operations.
o Uses oil or soap solution to lubricate details, places material on forming device along with
necessary coverings to ensure correct form.
o Monitors equipment and notifies supervision or maintenance of any problems.
o Manage/adjust amount of pressure necessary according to form requirements and learns
to set equipment appropriately.
o Visually checks tooling to prevent damage to equipment and formed details.
- Utilize tool moving equipment as required and maintain and store tools.
- Responsible for the quality of own work.
- Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION:
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.
EXPERIENCE:
No experience required.
