What You Will Be Doing:
We are in search of a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our team, you will perform Launch and Recovery activities and perform maintenance on all systems ("nose-to-tail") of the F-35 aircraft to ensure they are in good mechanical condition and safe for flight. Additional requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform all maintenance, inspections, and servicing requirements on all aircraft systems in accordance with applicable directives.
- Required to obtain special certifications (example: confined space, borescope, weapons loading, Alternate Mission Equipment maintenance and Inspections. etc.) as locally required.
- A successful candidate will be required to perform Field-Level Modifications, and Time Compliance Technical Data (TCTD) maintenance actions.
- The candidate will also provide On-The-Job Training (OJT) as required to newly hired Interim Contract Support (ICS) team members, Military maintainers and International country organic maintainers as required.
- Candidate will maintain and update aircraft records and status in strict compliance with applicable directives and within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) of the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) and keep the aircraft production staff updated with that aircraft status.
- The individual will also perform all other duties as directed by the production staff and leadership team, and must be able to work first, second, and third shift on short notice.
- The individual will practice good housekeeping and follow safety procedures and ensure both programs are enforced.
- Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- Must be able to obtain and keep a secret clearance and must have at least an interim secret clearance to start.
- The position will require working first (1st), second (2nd), or third (3rd) shift(s).
- Candidates should expect to depart on temporary duty assignments with short notice, dependent on customer or LM ICS needs to include stateside or overseas. This may include certain military required health screenings and immunizations. Position may also require extended work hours.
- Candidate must be able to acquire and keep a flight line driver's competency card.
- Physical Requirements: Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist and enter confined spaces.
