H.O. Aircraft specializes in Antique & Warbird Aircraft restoration, repair and maintenance services. We have restored aircraft from single-seater aerobatics to pre-WWII airliners. We are currently seeking an Aircraft Mechanic or a Trainee to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, repair, and restoration of aircraft. All skill levels will be evaluated and training will be provided on the job. Potential to earn A&P certification. As a member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and overseeing the precise assembly, fabrication, and restoration of aircraft structures and systems.
- Utilizing both modern and historic techniques to disassemble, clean, restore, fabricate, and reassemble aircraft structures.
- Conducting inspections and providing sign-offs to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Working at a reasonable pace to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Being receptive to learning new skills and taking on additional responsibilities.
- Completing and maintaining all required documentation, including paperwork, records, and tracking material usage.
- Understanding and interpreting aircraft blueprints and technical data.
- Being proficient in the safe use of basic sheet metal shop equipment and tools, as well as being familiar with the use of specialty equipment.
- Contributing to building a positive team environment and maintaining safe, clean, and organized workspaces.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a technician, prior experience in aircraft restoration is a plus.
- Must maintain consistent punctuality and attendance at work.
- Must comply with all safety and work rules and regulations, including drug & alcohol testing policies.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly.
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and climb on a regular basis, as well as lift up to 50 pounds.
- General knowledge or willingness to learn aircraft systems, components, and materials
- Strong technical skills and ability to use various tools and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and troubleshoot problems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
