Aircraft Mechanic (Non-A&P Cert)

Summary

The Aircraft Mechanic non-A&P position is a multi-faceted role with a primary focus on providing safe aircraft to our Flight Instructors and our students. The non-A&P position will not be allowed to sign off on work performed, and will need to be review by the DOM or a Certified A&P Mechanic. We are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic about working in aviation. Essential Functions

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of fleet aircraft, along side with a Certified A&P Mechanic
• Offer timely support and customer service to flight instructors and students
• Contribute to upkeep of hangar appearance and cleanliness
• Maintain various ground support equipment

Knowledge / Skills:

• Attention to detail, neatness, cleanliness, and focus on organization
• Interpersonal skills and comfortable with communicating
• Time management and self-motivation
• Experienced in tactical, hands-on practices of repairing, maintaining, servicing, building, etc.
• Familiar with a broad variety of tools and equipment
• Proficient in basic computer use including Microsft Word and general web-based applications;

Education and Work Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associates required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2 years of customer service experience preferred
• Employee isn't permitted to sign off on work, must be signed off from a valid A&P certificate holder
• Intents to progress towards A&P Certificate sign-off
