Vali Incorporated seeks highly qualified Aircraft Mechanic / A&P / Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) to support AMS Flight School located in Milton, Florida. The successful candidate will have A&P mechanic and general aviation experience working on piston powered aircraft; preferably Cessna 172, Piper PA-28, and other single and multi-engine aircraft.
Aircraft Mechanic Position Overview
The Aircraft Mechanic position works as a team member performing inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance on piston flight training aircraft. The successful candidate will possess the appropriate personality to work in a fast-paced aviation environment while maintaining a constant focus on safety and quality. A&P mechanics will also possess the ability to adhere to the maintenance and manufacturer manuals, and make safety-focused decisions on a day to day basis.
Aircraft Mechanic Minimum Qualifications
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
- 1 or more years of piston-powered aircraft maintenance experience
- Knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer manuals
- Possess adequate tools
- Background check and drug screening will be conducted
Desired Qualifications
- FAA Inspection Authorization
- Private pilot's license
- Avionics troubleshooting experience (Garmin integrated avionics)
Responsibilities
- Perform efficient troubleshooting, aircraft maintenance, and repair in accordance with applicable aviation regulations, manufacturer's instructions, and company policies
- Ensure consistent, accurate aircraft maintenance records by properly documenting & completing required forms, computer entries, and logbook entries
- Follow all policies and procedures
- Keep a clean and orderly work environment
- Perform job duties in a safe manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
