Aircraft Mechanic

EXPECTATIONS:

•* Knowledge/experience of Beechcraft King Air’s highly preferred, but not required and Pratt & Whitney PT6 engine knowledge a plus.*

•* Perform necessary inspections and replace parts in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration Regulations and the Repair Station Manual*

•* Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair on aircraft, including engines and landing gear.*

•* Keep work area clean and compliant with safety standards. *

•* Properly tag and store aircraft parts and pieces.*

•* Demonstrate knowledge of tools and equipment needed to perform jobs.*

•* Ability to communicate clearly with supervisor, mechanics, pilots and office staff.*

•* Communicate with customers respectfully and professionally.*

•* Maintain high quality service standards.*

•* Read and interpret maintenance manuals or other technical data necessary for maintenance or repair on aircraft.*

•* Replace and rebuild aircraft structures such as wings, fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, plumbing, and hydraulic units.*

•* Disassemble and inspect parts for wear or other defects.*

•* Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories. *

•* Willing to participate in post maintenance flights.*

REQUIREMENTS:

•* Ability to use tools.*

•* High School Diploma/GED.*

•* Current and valid driver’s license.*

•* Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and random drug/alcohol screenings as required by FAA standards.*

DESIRED:

•* Valid and current FAA mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.*

•* Beechcraft King Air knowledge/experience.*

•* Pratt & Whitney PT6 engine knowledge/experience.*

•* Requires climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.*

•* Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.*

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour
