The ROVER AMT performs maintenance on company owned aircraft and equipment in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Manufacturers Manuals and Air Evac's Company Policies and Procedures. Will be available on an On-Call basis, and assists with coverage of open shifts as needed.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES    Ability and willingness to travel, working days, nights, weekends, and be on-call 24/7 during the duty period assigned    Maintains company aircraft in a safe and efficient manner with emphasis on compliance with the A.A.I.P.    Will be available for maintenance related matters 24 hours a day except for on his scheduled days off.    Submit all appropriate paperwork in a neat and timely manner.    Report any major malfunctions, aircraft damage to the appropriate individuals in the most expeditious manner.    Present him/herself in a neat and professional manner while carrying out his duties with the Company.    Actively promote the Company's public relations image.  He/she will provide the customer with courteous, efficient, and safe service.    Wash, wax, and clean aircraft as needed along with nurse, paramedic, and pilot.    Perform housekeeping duties required to keep the hangar area neat, clean, and presentable.    Becoming thoroughly acquainted with all relevant local Policies and Procedures.    Monitor Aircraft Maintenance status and maintain liaison with the regional maintenance personnel to ensure proper and timely scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is accomplished.    Keep the local Senior Base AMT, informed of all operational matters that should be brought to the attention of Company management.    Read, understand and interpret maintenance manuals, technical websites, written & verbal instructions.    Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

To perform this job successfully, a mechanic must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Education/ExperienceHigh School or Training EquivalentThree years' experience in helicopter maintenance

Credentials/LicensesCurrent A & P requiredIA PreferredCurrent States Driver's License

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job.      Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.    Able to use arms, hands and legs to accomplish tasks.    Able to sit, stand and squat for extended periods of time.    Able to climb with balance on and off aircraft.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.     Required to work frequently near moving mechanical parts.    Required to work in outside weather conditions.    Exposed to loud noise levels.    Able to be on call during work week    Required to work after hours and weekends as needed.
