Controls military and civilian aircraft in a Visual Flight Rules (VFR) control tower environment. Initiates and issues Air Traffic control instructions and clearances for aircraft operating VFR in the vicinity of the airport as outlined in local operating procedures. Observes and reports airport advisories, critical weather information, and equipment outages. Coordinates Notice to Airman (NOTAMS) actions to advise all users of the status of airport facilities. Monitors weather conditions and ensures optimum use of airfield runways and operational facilities. Renders operational advice and instruction to airfield users. Provides instruction and assistance to Air Traffic control personnel. Provides basic and journeyman training for personnel. Participates in recurring training to maintain proficiency on current Air Traffic control requirements, and to ensure continued proficiency in each certified operating position.

Minimum Experience Requirements:
- 3 years specialized experience of terminal Air Traffic control (fixed and rotary wing) with valid CTO Computer skills necessary
- Military flight records knowledge
- Knowledge of FAA regulations
- Ability to communicate clearly over radios
Desired Skills or Training:
- Knowledge of Army AR’s
Requirements after Hiring:
- Must be able to obtain an Arizona Class D Driver’s License
- Must be able to pass an Army Class II Flight Physical
