Responsible for day-to-day oversight and analysis of flight and Crew schedule data as part of a 24/7 Air Operations Desk. Proactively monitors operational activities, develops reports and communicates with crewmembers and operations groups. Utilizes Crewmember and aircraft scheduling data to identify and mitigate operational, regulatory and fatigue risk while leveraging crew scheduling, fatigue, and data visualization software.
Responsibilities- Close in-person coordination with all operational groups relating to any Crew legality and operational issues. Lead and communicate Irregular Operations (IROPS) event process plan in a consistent manner to Crewmembers, Duty Pilots and other front-line employees. Maintain and promote situational awareness to anticipate operational disruptions and solve them in a proactive manner.
- Maintain Part 117 oversight. Communicate LATT times and determine go/no-go decision times to Operations Managers, Dispatch and Crewmembers. Ensure compliance with Department SOP, FAR and CBA rules. Suggest optimal departure times to maximize FDP.
- Utilize AlertSafe Pairing Risk Analyzer in the advancement of fatigue mitigation system-wide. Leverage fatigue mitigation software and utilize rulesets to proactively identify fatigue risk. Promote shared mental model of fatigue with Crew Scheduling and System Ops. Educate Initial Operational Capability (IOC) divisions on fatigue concepts and current fatigue trends while serving on the Fatigue Review Team (FRT) for flight and cabin Crews.
- Day-to-day fatigue mitigation by communicating risk assessments to Crew Scheduling management when faced with rolling delays or other operational challenges. Respond to Fatigue events to support Crewmembers, provide notification and initial analysis for operational leadership while attempting to minimize downline effects.
- Analyze reports and AIMS data to recognize situations where operational issues put the airline at risk for future delays because of downline impact to crew schedules and implement changes accordingly.
- Collect data, communicate with other operational departments, and make recommendations to Crew Schedulers and System Operation personnel about operational issues with the goal of minimizing risk elsewhere in the operation.
- Deliver measurable value to the airline through enacted mitigations, and accurately record event decision trees.
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of airline operations experience
- Minimum of two (2) years Crew Scheduling experience
- Knowledge of airline scheduling software and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) is required, specifically Part 117 and 121
- Self-starter that requires minimal supervision
- Detailed knowledge of world geography as it relates to global aircraft movement
- Experience in Fatigue Risk Management is a plus
- Capability to multitask and coordinate time sensitive duties
- Ability to champion cross-departmental operational solutions
- Ability to present information in an open forum

- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidays
