Job description

EY focuses on high-ethical standards and integrity among its employees and expects all candidates to demonstrate these qualities. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

The EY Public Policy function focuses on the Public Policy and regulatory issues that affect EY’s businesses. Our dialogue with policymakers, regulators, investors, and other stakeholders helps inform our views and actions as we navigate the complexity of operating across the globe in over 150 countries.

The EY Public Policy function works to advance EY’s strategic objectives in a number of areas, including Public Policy and regulatory matters related to audit and assurance; sustainability; financial services; technology (artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data and cloud, and other policy matters); and geopolitics. This Assistant Director role will support the Public Policy team’s work focusing on AI and digital technology, working with both global and areas teams.

Your key responsibilities

As Assistant Director, you will work with other members of the GPP team and with other EY colleagues to help advance EY’s AI-related Public Policy priorities primarily through contributing to the production of written materials (such as AI thought-leadership papers, Points of View, talking points and presentations), and managing these resources. You will also work with the Brand, Marketing and Communications colleagues to help ensure that public messaging which touches on AI Public Policy matters is attuned to the latest developments and at the highest level of quality. These materials will be used both for EY leaders’ internal meetings and meetings with key external parties, including policymakers, regulators, legislators, standard-setters, trade association members, and other stakeholders. The role will provide you with opportunities to develop subject matter expertise on important matters for EY, as well as to work collaboratively with EY experts from multiple service lines and geographies.

You will manage your own portfolio of work, in close collaboration with the GPP Assistant Director of Technology & Geopolitics and overseen by GPP’s Global Digital Technology Policy Leader, AI Ethics and Regulatory Leader and the Global Public Policy AI Working Group.
