Summary
CHS has an exciting summer internship opportunity for a Summer Marketing Communications Intern to work within our Marketing Department. This role will support marketing communications efforts for our Agronomy team within CHS. This internship will provide a diverse experience withing the marketing communications field as part of the nation's largest cooperative.
The intern will serve as a valued member of the team, participating and/or leading a variety of projects in the following categories: advertising, product marketing, picture and video content, blog content, web sites and digital media. You must be creative, detail-oriented, and eager to learn with excellent communications skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate a variety of agronomy multi-media projects to amplify our social and digital strategies with industry leading digital media tactics.
- Write for online and print, including online news.
- Assist with social media management/publishing including building content plans and calendars
- Provide campaign asset and communication support tactics to network of agronomy retailers
- Participate and lead special projects, which may include assistance in meeting preparation, development and execution of various marketing campaigns
- Engage with external vendor/agency partners through ongoing marketing efforts
- Collaborate with individuals across the internal marketing and product teams to execute on initiatives.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- Working towards a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Leadership, Business, Agricultural Communications, or another related degree area
- Experience working with student organizations, event planning and/or communications
- Experience with photography, videography, social media, and writing
- Physical requirements: ability to travel regionally to capture photo and video content
Additional Qualifications
- Background or course work in agronomy or agriculture
- Prior internship or work experience
- Experience with Adobe Premier Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator
