Oakdale High School is looking for a highly motivated, productive, competitive, and driven individual whose main goal is to inspire and teach agriculture with passion each and every day! Oakdale High School has a well-established comprehensive agriculture program that has an amazing farming community, a tremendously supportive administration, and motivated students that are determined, competitive, and success-driven. The opening is for a replacement of a full-time Agriculture Teacher in a 4-person department with full FFA responsibilities and a teaching assignment that will be based on the strength of the selected candidate. The program is traditionally well-rounded with pathways in agriculture mechanics, agriculture science, and floral/horticulture. We strongly value and prioritize great experiences for our students in FFA/Leadership and SAE areas. Major investments have been made into the facilities of our program through various grants and district support, and our students enjoy one of the most comprehensive, well-equipped, industry-minded school farms in the entire country. Our 26-acre school farm has a variety of tree crops, vines, and vegetable production areas, as well as large barns specifically for swine, sheep/goats, and beef/dairy cattle. We are looking for a teacher who will provide students with a great educational experience while participating as a valuable staff member of the agriculture department team. Extended contract days will include field days, fairs, conferences, competitions, etc.
